This Privacy Policy explains how Deus Amat (“Deus Amat,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website or place an order. We keep the data we handle to a minimum and rely on trusted providers to process orders and payments.
01 Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you place an order, you provide information needed to fulfill it — typically your name, shipping address, email address, and order details. Payment information (such as card details) is entered directly with our payment processor and is not collected or stored by us.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, we and our service providers automatically collect technical and usage information: pages and products viewed, sizes selected, items added to your cart, clicks, scrolling, time on page, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, the ad or link that brought you here (including ad click identifiers), page-load performance, and technical error reports. We use this to measure our advertising, understand where shoppers run into problems, and fix them. We do not include your name, email address, or payment details in this activity data.
02 Service Providers Who Process Your Data
We use the following third parties to operate the store. Each handles your information only as needed to provide its service, under its own privacy policy.
- Shopify — powers our checkout, cart, and payment processing. Shopify and its payment processors handle your payment and order data securely.
- Tapstitch and Printify — our print-on-demand fulfillment partners. We share the name and shipping address necessary to produce and deliver your order.
- Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel and Conversions API) — measures how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform. Meta receives the activity described above from your browser and, as a backup, from our server, along with cookie identifiers, your IP address, and browser details. If you join our mailing list, Meta receives a one-way encrypted (hashed) version of your email address, never the address itself. Meta may use this data as described in its privacy policy.
- Microsoft Clarity — records how visitors use the site (clicks, scrolling, and mouse or touch movement) as session replays and heatmaps so we can find confusing or broken parts of the store. Text you type into form fields is masked and not recorded. See Microsoft’s privacy statement.
- Sentry — reports technical errors from the site (what went wrong, on which page, in which browser, and the steps just before it) so we can fix them. It does not receive your name, email, or payment details.
- Klaviyo — manages our mailing list. If you subscribe, Klaviyo stores your email address and sends our emails.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — provides privacy-first, aggregate site analytics. It does not use cookies and does not fingerprint or track individual visitors.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share site activity with Meta, as described above, to measure and improve our ads.
03 How We Use Your Information
- To process, produce, ship, and deliver your orders.
- To communicate with you about your order or respond to support inquiries.
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to comply with legal obligations.
- To understand how visitors use the site, find and fix problems, and improve our store.
- To measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
04 Marketing Emails
If you join our mailing list, we use your email address to send new drops and our annual financial report. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing us. Otherwise, we only email you about an order you place or a request you send us.
05 Cookies
We and our providers use cookies and similar browser storage to keep your cart, remember the ad or link that brought you to the site, measure ad performance (Meta’s _fbp and _fbc cookies), and record anonymous usage sessions (Microsoft Clarity). Shopify sets cookies that are needed for checkout to work.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the store will still work, though your cart may not be remembered. You can also limit ad tracking through Meta’s ad preferences and your device’s privacy settings (for example, “Ask App Not to Track” on iPhone). Disabling necessary cookies may affect checkout.
06 Data Retention
We retain order information for as long as necessary to fulfill orders, provide support, and meet legal, accounting, and tax requirements. Our service providers retain data according to their own policies.
07 Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at support@deusamat.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” and we will verify and respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
08 Children’s Privacy
Our site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
09 Security
We rely on reputable providers (including Shopify) that maintain industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10 International Visitors
We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the site, you consent to this processing.
11 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted to this page, with the “Last updated” date revised accordingly.
